Comment: 2AM scores their third No. 1 song of 2010 with “To You Who’s Not Picking Up The Phone”.  This song is coming from 2AM’s first full-length album titled, “Saint O’Clock.” Bang Shi Hyuk who produced 2AM’s hit number “Can’t Send You Even If I Die” has also produced this album, elevating fans’ anticipation. “To You Who’s Not Picking Up the Phone” centralizes around the theme of the loneliness and hurt felt through breakup.  It only takes two weeks to become our No. 1 song.  With their latest No. 1 song, 2AM will have a very strong presence in the upcoming year end awards.

Comment: Asia’s number one girl group, SNSD makes a surprise comeback with a new mini album, “Hoot.” The girls have been quite busy this year promoting their second album with songs, “Oh” and “Run Devil Run” and debuting in Japan. The title track of the new album is “Hoot,” which showcases their upgraded vocals and emotions.  This week it moves up another seven spots to No. 2 and will challenge 2AM for the top spot next week.

Comment: After one week on top, Psy’s “Right Now” drops back to No. 3. This is his first album in four years. Known for his unique rap and dance songs, PSY has brought together an impressive team for his comeback album Psyfive. Cool’s Lee Jae Hoon features in the advance track “In My Eye”, while Seo In Young pitches in on Thank You. Brown Eyed Soul’s Jung Yup and YDG also participated in the album.  The title track is “Right Now”.  This song combines electronic arrangement along with Psy’s singing and rapping.

Comment: 2PM’s new mini album titled, “Still 2PM” is expected to show an even more mature and refined image of them through seven tracks. The title song is “I’ll Be Back,” an R&B number with hip-hop and house rhythms. The song showcases 2PM’s very own style in music. One of the dance moves involved in the song is the “shuffle dance” popular in the 90’s. The boys will relive this “rabbit dance.”  This week it drops three spots to No. 5.

Comment: The hits keep coming from 2NE1’s first studio album, ‘To Anyone.’ This time the girls made a 180 degrees image change for beauty and elegance to perform this R&B ballad “It Hurts (Slow)”.  The four members shared vocal equally, even for CL and Minzi who usually rap, sing extensively in this song.  It is a perfect song as we get into the winter.  This week it is our highest debut at No. 7.

Comment: Ga In’s “Irreversible” drops to No. 8 this week after spending the last week on top.  Having scored many chart topping songs with Brown Eyed Girls, this is Ga In’s first No. 1 solo hit.  “Irreversible” is co-composed by hit makers Yoon Sang and Lee Min Soo. The polished chord work, great melody, and rhythm making mesh well with the synth sounds, producing an electronica fused tango number.

Comment: Dropping four spots to No. 9 this week is top rookie female group Miss A’s second single title song “Breathe”. The girls who debuted this past July with much confidence and skill returns with a funkier and cuter image fans are expected to enjoy. Their debut song “Bad Girl Good Girl” already topped the chart and now they have their second big hit.  Miss A will likely battle top male group CN Blue for this year’s top new artist honor.

Comment: Coming back from his two years of military service, Lee Jung released a digital single “To Be Break Up”.  Lee Jung wrote this song himself and co-wrote the lyrics with Leessang’s Gary, who is the featured rapper. Lee Jung debuted in 2003 as an R&B singer.  Over the years he has diversified into more pop-oriented songs, but this time he returns to his R&B roots as “To Be Break Up” is a song with pure R&B melody.  This week it moves up six spots to No. 11.

Comment: Male duo, December who has released quite a number of hits including “Can You Not Come Back,” the theme song for the drama series “Iris” along with “Love is Really” has finally released its first studio album, “A Story to the Sky.” The group has returned with new music styles, shifting from their usual medium tempo ballads to lounge music. One of the three title tracks, “Blinding Tears” is our biggest mover this week, up 25 spots to No. 12.  “Blinding Tears” showcases the duo’s vocals skills as they sing about the sadness one feels over a loved one who has passed away.

Comment: Rainbow scores another top 20 hit with their latest digital single “Mach”. Just not long ago their song “A” was also in our top 20.  DSP Entertainment has high hope on this group which have a different image and different music style than Kara.  But just like Kara, they keep improving and rank higher with each song.  “Mach” moves up another spot this week to No. 13.

Comment: Contestents of Super Star K Season 2 keeps hitting our chart, and this week we have the winner Huh Gak who releases his first mini album titled, “Whenever.” Included in the album is his debut track, “Whenever,” a ballad written by top composer Cho Young Soo.  One can hear the powerful vocal of this up and coming talent on this song.  This week “Whenever” debuts at No. 14.

The title track is “Breath” a new song that is expected to upgrade Beast one notch higher. The song was composed by Sinsadong Tiger and Choi Gyu Sung and Beast member, Yong Jun Hyung took part in penning it. Comment: Best known for the World Cup support songs “For Victory” and The Shouts of Reds, Transfixion is celebrating their tenth anniversary soon. Their new mini-album Never Say Goodbye exemplifies the great talent and appeal that has kept the band going for so long. The title song Never Say Goodbye is a powerful, wistful rock ballad that leaves a deep impression, particularly with its Hammond organ intro.  This song has been released for more than 2 months but only in recent weeks did it pick up a lot of airplay points.

Comment: Ga In’s “Irreversible” moves up to No. 1 this week.  Having scored many chart topping songs with Brown Eyed Girls, this is Ga In’s first No. 1 solo hit. Narsha came close earlier this year with “Bbi Ri Bba Ra” at No. 2, but Ga In was able to break through this week against some pretty strong competitions. “Irreversible” is co-composed by hit makers Yoon Sang and Lee Min Soo. The polished chord work, great melody, and rhythm making mesh well with the synth sounds, producing an electronica fused tango number.

Comment: 2PM’s new mini album titled, “Still 2PM” is expected to show an even more mature and refined image of them through seven tracks. The title song is “I’ll Be Back,” an R&B number with hip-hop and house rhythms. The song showcases 2PM’s very own style in music. One of the dance moves involved in the song is the “shuffle dance” popular in the 90’s. Comment: After two weeks on top, Beast drops back to No. 3 with “Breath”.  Beast has already excited fans with “Clenching Fists Tightly” released prior to its upcoming third mini album, “Mastermind.” They need to wait no longer as the boy group returns this month. The title track is “Breath” a new song that is expected to upgrade Beast one notch higher. The song was composed by Sinsadong Tiger and Choi Gyu Sung and Beast member, Yong Jun Hyung took part in penning it.
