What are the girl groups up to this Chuseok holiday?
With 13 different girl groups currently promoting in the market, fans have been paying close attention to their every move, including what they will be up to this Chuseok holiday.
Star News found out the holiday plans of 13 different popular girl groups including SNSD, 2NE1, Wonder Girls, KARA, T-ara, 4Minute, Secret, After School, f(x), miss A, SISTAR, Rainbow, and Girls Day.
The majority of the groups will be spending Chuseok with their family. Having run through tightly-packed schedules all year long, agencies have allowed a short but sweet break for the girls to enjoy.
With SNSD currently promoting in Japan, SM Entertainment will be having the members return home right before the holidays begin. SM stated, “The SNSD members will be spending their Chuseok in Korea with their family. After Chuseok ends, they will be returning to Japan and focusing on their promotions.”
f(x) members will also be returning to their individual homes. SM stated, “Chinese member Victoria will be returning to China in order to celebrate the harvest festival. The rest of the members will be home with their families. Member Krystal will be filming for MBC’s ‘Charming By the Day’ for a short while during her break.”
KARA’s agency, DSP Media, revealed, “The members of KARA have achieved outstanding results all year long, including their success in Japan. We have decided to allow them to visit their families and spend Chuseok at home. The last day of their break will most likely be spent recording for their new album set to be released in October.”
Regarding Rainbow, DSP Media stated that they, too, will be spending Chuseok with family.
After School’s agency, Pledis Entertainment, stated, “Our members as well will be spending Chuseok at home. The members that live in the suburbs will be able to go down and see their families for the first time in a while. Those that live in Seoul will be enjoying a period of break at home.”
T-ara will be working their hardest for all activities leading up to Chuseok and returning home to their families, while SISTAR will be finishing their first Japanese performance on the 20th and returning to Korea.
Despite Chuseok being a holiday, there are also girl groups that will be focusing on their work and rehearsals.
2NE1 will be running through a busy schedule of broadcasts and advertisement filming during their Chuseok break. YG Entertainment stated, “Each member will of course be resting on the actual day of Chuseok, but during the rest of the holiday, the members will be participating in advertisement and broadcast filming. They will also be rehearsing through their first official album.”
Secret has revealed that they are determined to raise their skills by practicing as much as possible during their Chuseok break.
miss A, currently preparing for their new album (set to be released by the end of this month), will be using their Chuseok break as an opportunity to rehearse further. Girl’s Day as well has decided to spend their Chuseok in their rehearsal room in anticipation of their 2nd album, set to be released in October.
The Wonder Girls will be spending their Chuseok in New York. JYP Entertainment stated, “The members will be staying in New York and spending their Chuseok with the YP USA employees.”
4Minute will be in Bangkok, Thailand for an advertisement promotion lasting four days during their Chuseok break.
Sounds like a hectic Chuseok for some, and a comforting Chuseok for others.
