Japanese fans could not recognize Sunny without makeup
SNSD has been making waves in Japan, as their impending debut album is receiving massive amounts of attention and hype.
Unlike some other K-pop stars, this nine member girl group has achieved instant recognition amongst the Japanese public.
SNSD expressed their feelings about their Japanese debut on a recent episode of KBS Entertainment Weekly, and they revealed a hilarious situation that happened with one of the members.
During the interview, member Sooyoung revealed, “One of our members were recognized by a Japanese fan at a convenience store. However, the member did not have makeup on, and told them she was not a SNSD member.”
Sunny, embarrassed of the past situation, then spoke up and said that she was the member.
Hyoyeon then continued, “After saying that, the fan believed her and walked away.”
The girls were then asked other questions, such as what were the differences between Korean and Japanese fans. The girls replied, “Not only do Japanese fans remember the song lyrics, but they remember the choreography as well.”
